So i know it has been crazy long since i have posted last. But now you get evideos and a post all in one. It's like a home overload!!
Let's start with awhile ago. Dave and his friend Casey are both May babies and decided to have a grunge party to celebrate (because the 90's rule!). Billy and I of course got lost and Dave of course could not help with directions. So once Jess got on the phone and told us how to get there we found the place. There was Mallrats on the TV (VHS of course) and grunge music on the computer. Everyone had on flannels and ridiculous leggings (My So Called Life style clothing). Casey had gone all out and bought posters for the wall so it was very 90's feeling. There was a vanilla cake for Casey and a chocolate cake for Dave. Here is his cake:

Not only was there an awesome 30 candle on it but there were 30 decorations on the wall to help celebrate his leap into the next decade. He also helped to display the cake while we sang!

So recently we opened the pool. Although the cover was working well it broke when we got it to the shallow end and all the yuckiness fell in. Here is the deep end:

And this is what happened when the cover broke:

Mom kicked right into gear and helped skim:

And of course dad needed the backyard looking perfect so here he is getting rid of the cover:

And we needed to powerwash quickly because this is what the concrete looked like without the cover:

Billy was there to help too!

And I of course took a video of the whole process taking place:

So it was a good thing that we did take the cover off early because we have been hit with the most ridiculous heat wave ever. For the last 2 days we have broken the record for the "high" by a few degrees. Today it was 99-101 degrees depending on where you were. And with the humidity it felt around 110 degrees. The school was gross and I am not as lucky as these stupid public schools. There was no early dismissal for us. So I got to sweat my butt off like crazy!
I was studying for my Praxis to take the Social Studies for Middle School but a) there is no way I can cover all this material in this short of time and b) I do not want to teach Middle School so I will not hide behind this test - I will just push forward and do what I need to to get where I belong. But while I still thought I was going to take the test I procrastinated and made some home videos so you can see the house in its summer glory. I warn you that these videos were taken with me walking so they may make you feel sick or give you a headache but I did my best to get many details so deal with it!!
